A la Ronde have a a literary festival on this week to kick start their Writing Places programme. There are so many activities on for children, a visit was a must.
As well as the summer long activity and quiz trails (£1.50 each/child), there was a special story telling session and craft activities. The children happily got stuck into everything that was on offer and loved the crafts that they made.

The quiz trail led us on a walk around the grounds and included brass rubbings at various points which suited a mix of ages.

There were also craft activities, pictures to spot and a postcard competition. So much to do we could have spent all day there.

We moved into the house to finish our quiz questions, and were also given some clues to help us find hidden creatures in the house. The children loved the shell gallery and dumb waiter, as well as the hands on activities such as dressing up and the speaking tube!

We sat ad enjoyed the views whilst having a snack and a drink from the fab cafe. The children played with the games that you can borrow from a trunk by the house and enjoyed running around on the large lawn with newly made friends.

So much to see and so much to do, and such a fantastic place – we will be back very soon!
