We love Hannahs at Seale-Hayne and always enjoy our visits. This half term there is a treasure hunt for £2.50/child. The cafe is very reasonable with lots of eating options and there are loads of free play opportunities – from games in the quad to leap-frogging the tyre frogs on the front lawn. A walk in the grounds gives you beautiful views and lots of animal-spotting.
While they don’t have any particular half-term activities on, the House of Marbles is a great place to visit. You can watch glass blowing, look round the mini museum of glass and marble creation, browse in the brilliant shop and get a cream tea from the cafe. The outdoor play area is fully enclosed with plenty for little ones to enjoy while you have a coffee and the massive marble run will keep them entranced for ages!
Whilst the main Pecorama attractions are closed for the winter, the brilliant Play Station soft play and cafe are open. There is no charge for adults and children can have an unlimited pass for £10 – until April.
Here’s what we think of Pecorama when the whole site is open.
Occombe Farm is a lovely place for children to visit the animals and have a good play outdoors. There’s a fab cafe with great views and a lovely farm shop. In addition to the free nature trail there is an additional treasure hunt running in half term for £2.50/child.
Here’s what we thought of a previous visit and ‘feed the animals tour’.
