The Thelma Hulbert Gallery is a hidden gem, tucked away in plain sight in the centre of Hontion. It is well signposted from the high street, and has designated pay & display car parking spaces right outside. Entrance is free, and the range of activities they offer are usually low charge or by donation.
It is a lovely, calm place with a beautiful community garden that provides a perfect spot for lunch or a catch up. The garden has different corners, including a ‘nature area’ complete with bug hotel that my children love!
Inside there are changing galleries and displays, an arts and crafts room where workshops take place and groups for children run. There is also a small café area and a lovely range of gifts and craft ware – much from local creators and suppliers. It’s a really good place to get something a bit special or different!
