Otter Valley Ice Cream Parlour & Cafe

Otter Valley ice cream is often available from pop up stalls at festivals and events. We have previously made special trips to their lay-by stall just outside Honiton to purchase a treat and sit in the sunshine to enjoy it and we were so excited when we heard they had opened in a brand new building in time for half term!

This beautiful ice cream parlour and cafe are easily accessed from the A30 outside Honiton, and the new building has its own car park and outside seating.

Immaculate toilets with baby change and disabled facilities are available next to the main building with surfaced paths making it easy to use a wheelchair or buggy.

The choice of ice creams makes it pretty hard to stick to just one flavour! There are a variety of sizes, prices and tubs and cones available, including an under 5s option for £1.50.

There’s also a range of yummy cakes and hot and cold drinks, plus savoury options including fresh pizzas cooked in the open pizza oven.

The surroundings are really lovely, with a variety of seating (including high chairs) and the view of Dumpden Hill and the Black Down Hills AONB are pretty special.

Nearby walks include the climb up to Dumpdon Hill, or the woods at Combe.
