Stantyway Farm in Otterton is part of Clinton Devon Estates, and is set in an incredible position above Ladram Bay. To reach the main farmhouse where walks begin and free parking is avalble next to the Honesty Cafe, you drive through the centre of Otterton as if heading to Ladram Bay holiday park (you can read more about visiting here.) You then take a righthand turning into Stantyway Road and make your way steeply uphill to the farm.
You can park for free in front of
Otterton Football Club’s pitch.
As well as being a working organic beef farm, it has a fabulous honesty cafe and will soon have a shepherd’s hut available for overnight stays in an idyllic spot.
The Honesty Cafe at Stantyway is a repurposed shipping container, with everything you could want to have a break on a walk around the farm or as a stop on the South West Coast Path which runs very nearby. Traybakes and biscuits are homemade on the farm and individually wrapped. Hot drinks can be made and enjoyed there or there are takeaway cups (you are positively encouraged to use your own if you wish).
There’s a lovely chalkboard table for children (and arty adults!) to sit at or a lovely bench nearby with great views.
