1) The Great Western Canal Country Park
This path can be broken into sections and can incorporate National Cycle Network Route 3 too. There are lots of options for refreshments and parkin g depending on how far you want to go. Bike hire is available too. Read about our adventures here.
2) The Granite Trail
This fantastic traffic-free route starts at Okehampton Station and ends in Lydford. There are lots of options for parking and refreshments, as well as the chance to break your trip up with a vintage train ride! You can also leave the cycle path and visit Meldon reservoir or quarry to add to your adventure. Read more about our trip here.
3) The Stover Trail
Whilst this route is not completely traffic free, it is very safe and quiet and no major roads are involved. The rural views are stunning and there’s the brilliant Cafe 3 Sixty to motivate all riders! Read more about our adventures here.
4) The Exe Estuary Trail
This stunning route is brilliantly flexible and completely integrated with public transport, allowing you to undertake small sections or break up your ride with the trains and ferries. Read about some of our trips here and here.
5) Budleigh by Bike
This flat and easy path is less busy than some of the other cycle routes, and can easily be shortened. It is mostly traffic free but with a small amount of road cycling can take you right to the shore! Read a bit about our trip here.
